At Rainbow Rising Counselling, we specialize in supporting teens and young adults, especially those within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. This is the community that feels like home to us, and the heart of why we do what we do.

The name Rainbow Rising reflects the rhythm of being human. Just as the sun and moon rise and set again and again, so do we. Life moves in cycles and each rise is a reminder that healing, change, and new beginnings are always possible.

Founded by Meagan Black (she/her), a Registered Social Worker with both personal and professional experience in mental health and addictions, Rainbow Rising Counselling is grounded in gentle collaboration and authenticity. We show up as our genuine selves and strive to create a space where you can do the same.

Our approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and supported by other evidence‑based approaches. A core thread our work is helping you develop a kinder relationship with yourself. Self‑compassion can feel unfamiliar or even impossible at first. We’ll move toward it gently, at your pace, in ways that feel safe and possible.
